Electric Avenue is a bicycling club that doesn’t take itself so seriously. A bike, at its core, is a children’s toy. Hop-on a bike and there’s something that hearkens back to childhood – there’s a freedom one feels, even if just an illusion, that we are free from all of our grown-up responsibilities. Why adults try to ruin that feeling with cycling “uniforms” and extra gadgets like special shoes, and specific socks, and heart rate monitors and….STOP IT ALREADY. Just ride your bike.
Bring your bike, e-bike, Segway electric scooter, Onewheel, or other personal electric vehicle and let’s have fun cruising the black tops and trails of the Eastern San Francisco Bay.
This is a casual club. That means aerodynamic lycra cycling “kits” are highly discouraged. Come as you are, have fun, make friends, all while getting enough exercise to justify a post ride slice of pizza or pint of beer.
Rides typically venture to, or include pit stops at: concerts, parks, cafes, restaurants, bars, lakes, landmarks, etc. .
